The Voglers recently visited us in Costa Rica for a rich time of fellowship. Bill gave four devotionals on the significance of Jesus' Passion and the importance of celebrating Holy Week in the life of the church. Traditionally, Easter is the least attended week of church in Costa Rica. In fact, many churches are closed for Easter Sunday! Why? Because an estimated 2 million people leave the San Jose central valley and head for the beach for a week. Bill was trying to encourage our pastors at ESEPA to value this week and to teach the church the importance of observing this week as a part of their on-going spiritual formation.
