One of our goals while serving at ESEPA is to help students with the ministries they are involved in. On the left is Mauricio, one of our finer students at the seminary. For two years now he has been involved in a church planting project in the south of Costa Rica with a tribe known as the Guaymi. The Guaymi have the New Testament translated into their own language, but hardly anyone is working with them to teach them the Scriptures. Mauricio, on his own time and with his own (limited) resources, travels some six hours in order to train and motivate a local pastor (not seen in picture) who has answered the call to plant churches amongst this neglected people. Recently we were able to connect Mauricio's ministry with a church in Kansas City who has pledged to help Mauricio in his ministry (see pictures above). It brings us great satisfaction to see the worldwide church work together to extend God's benevolent reign.
