Church News

There are two new developments at our church here in St Andrews, Holy Trinity:

1. On Sept 9 I was ordained as an elder in the church. Please pray for God's enabling as I join a team of elders who are looking to lead the church in what we anticipate to be a new phase of growth. Two primary aims we have for this coming year are (1) to clearly explain the Gospel and its implications for individuals and the church; and (2) to improve our discipleship of young people.

2. The minister has graciously allowed myself and another PhD student (and fellow elder) to develop a ten-week preaching series on the Gospel and its implications. I will start off the series this Sunday, Sept 23. Please pray for God's spirit to accompany the preparation, preaching and hearing. Below I offer you a sneak peak at the flier that is being circulated around town:

Come join us for a new Sunday series and Thursday evening meals

Each Sunday at 11am from 23 September to 25 November, we will unfold the story of our world, as told through the Bible. It is a story of a good world gone bad… then restored by a crucified Saviour. It is a story that awaits an ending. It is a story in which you are invited to find a place and be part of the solution.

If the Sunday messages raise more questions than answers, then join us on Thursday evenings at 7pm starting 27 September at Holy Trinity Church, where we will share a meal, review Sunday’s theme, and take some time for questions and further reflection.

“Taking a fresh look at how the Bible explains the predicament of our world and how Jesus is God’s unique solution. . .”
