I am off to Rome tomorrow (3 AM wake-up) to do some research on my thesis--shepherd imagery in 1 Peter. I will be visiting the catacombs on the Via Appia as well as the port city of Ostia to study early Christian art which depicts Jesus as the Good Shepherd. Here are some previews.
