In the United States April 15th means taxes; here in Scotland it is the day all of us first-year PhD students have to turn in what is called the GRO. The GRO is a 25-page document that is a sample of the research we intend to expand upon in the coming three years. A committee looks at this document and decides whether you can continue on in your studies. All this to say, I covet your prayers. I am in the final writing stage, still trying to connect pieces and make a compelling overall argument. Please pray for energy, clarity in thought and expression, and above all, faithfulness to the Scriptures.
Given the importance of the project and the fact that I am still quite far from finishing, you will likely not hear from me until after April 15th.
